I’m an authentic marketing leader and strategic connector with 20+ years of experience in the software industry. My work spans marketing, strategy, communications, analyst relations, and influencer engagement driving meaningful impact across both global enterprises and growing businesses.
I started my career at a small business lobbying firm in Washington, DC, before earning an MBA in International Business from Bentley University. I also hold a B.S. in Consumer Economics from the University of Delaware.
Over the years, I’ve led initiatives in PR, analyst relations, corporate strategy, and executive storytelling helping brands amplify their influence, elevate their market presence, and scale with intention.

Elaine Benfield is an authentic marketing leader and strategic connector. She blends narrative expertise with over twenty years of experience to inspire and elevate brands, executives, and audiences. She founded The Benfield Connection, a consulting business specializing in marketing and communications, focusing on messaging, analyst relations, and B2B influencer strategy.
With a diverse background in software, marketing, strategy, communications, and influencer marketing, Elaine has collaborated with large and small enterprises. She has over 25 years of technology experience and has spent the past 16 years at SAP in various marketing and communications roles. Her career began at a small lobbying firm in Washington, DC, before earning her MBA in International Business in Boston. She later established a reputation in high-tech PR, analyst and influencer relations, and marketing, assisting companies in amplifying their narratives, achieving successful acquisitions and IPOs, and enhancing market visibility.
Passionate about storytelling, executive engagement, and industry influence, Elaine continues to craft impactful narratives that shape market perception and drive business success.
